Dishwasher Hints
  1. Clean the rubber seal regularly between the bottom inside of the door, and the base. You will be amazed at the grime and gunge that gets on that, and it is not easy to see. A mixture of bicarbonate of soda, salt and washing up liquid brushed vigourously with a washing-up brush should shift it. Put it on a rinse cycle after doing this.
  2. Check and clean the filter area regularly, this helps to prevent odours, as well as keeping the pump working well.
  3. Always check that the spray-arm “spinner” is free to rotate all the way around, before starting your machine. It is very common for the cutlery to catch this, and you end up with partly rinsed dishes, and cups with sandy deposits in. If yours has a top tray for cutlery (like some MIELE and a few other models), check that one too.
  4. Remove and check the spray-arm “spinners” occasionally and check for trapped food, and fruit pips, as these can block the spray holes and give an uneven wash and rinse cycle.
  5. Use one of the dishwasher cleaners every few months. These usually need a hole pierced in the bottle, or a tab removed, and they are then jammed in between a couple of tray prongs. Put it on the wash cycle as recommended on the label.
  6. Check the basket rollers occasionally. On older machines these can wear out, and cause the baskets to come off the runners. A roller replacement kit can also be obtained from EEZI-FIX.
